Staying Focused on the Goal
SHARE GOD'S LOVE THROUGH SIMPLE ACTS OF KINDNESS
That means in any way, no matter how big or small, no matter who we share with, we just want to keep it simple, to encourage others, and expect nothing in return — no strings attached. If possible, we will gladly develop genuine relationships and discover the needs of individuals in our community in order to make a difference in Helena by touching people's lives.

What Can I Do To Prepare?
TELL OTHERS
Share the idea with everyone you can and encourage them to get involved. Ask them to visit the website (7days.encounterhelena.org) and tell them that we're inviting everyone to share simple acts of kindness from April 3 to April 9.
CREATE AWARENESS
Personally make duplicates of the flyers and resources available on this website and distribute them all over Helena. You can download and have them nicely printed at an office supply or printing company — 59¢ for color prints, 10¢ for black and white on red paper.
DONATE SUPPLIES, PREPARE GIFTS, AND JOIN US
We quickly need specific supplies for gift baskets and window washing — the items are listed below. If we get enough supplies, we can bless even more organizations. We additionaly invite you to get involved in preparing the gift baskets and washing windows.
Thursday, April 2 | Serving Those Who Serve

WHAT:
Delivering gift baskets to show appreciation to volunteers/workers that serve the Helena community.
We will need to collect donated items, assemble them into gift baskets, and deliver them to selected organizations. (i.e. hospital workers, school staff, nursing home workers, etc.) The more people who get involved, the more organizations we can bless.
WHEN:
March 31 — Collecting donations through Tuesday
April 1 — Assembling baskets Wednesday
April 2 — Delivering baskets Thursday

UPDATE: Due to our great response of donations, we are delivering three baskets total...
April 2 — Delivering basket to Elkhorn Health Care Rehabilitation workers/volunteers
April 3 — Delivering basket to Broadwater Elementary School teaching staff
April 6 — Delivering basket to St. Peter's Hospital OB nursing staff

Please contact us immediately if you can supply one of the following:
– Homemade treats (chocolate, cookies, etc)
– Hand lotions & lip balm (scented and unscented)
– Large gift baskets & packing material
– Good writing pens
– Tea and/or coffee packets
– Coffee mugs
– Assorted snacks
– Soft soaps
– Craft magnet cards
– Unsigned, anonymous thank you notes/cards
– Outreach cards (download, print, and cut from Resources)
Tuesday, April 7 | Serving Our Community

WHAT:
Making the walking mall more attractive for everyone in Helena by washing storefront windows.
We will visit with each business, explain the '7 Days of Servolution' effort (use an outreach card), and then ask for permission to wash their storefront window as a free simple act of kindness.
WHEN:
Tuesday, April 7 @ 10am to 3pm
Not everyone needs to be at the walking mall all the time, but we want to have a continual presence from 10am to 3pm. See the Facebook event listing here.
WHERE:
Meet at 10am outside The Parrot Confectionery Store or look for people washing windows to meet up with us.
Contact us immediately to let us know what time you will be there and how long you can stay.
DONATIONS NEEDED:
Please contact us immediately if you are coming and/or can supply one of the following:
– You and some friends
– Window cleaning solution (a lot)
– Squeege(s)
– Paper towels (many)
– Ladders or step stools
– Rubber gloves (if needed)
– Large trash bags
– Outreach cards (download, print, and cut from Resources)
